(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Batesville resident Larry Reidy is proud to show his patriotism and does it in a way that not many others his age do.
The 87-year-old has authored two books including “My Quest for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” which he released in 2019.
Reidy picked up a new hobby a few years ago of recording podcasts.
He has covered a wide range of topics including business spotlights, conversations with community members, interviews with high school seniors and even a series dedicated to ‘Whiskey and Beer’.
He recently launched a series of podcasts leading up to the 250th anniversary of America.
Larry produces a daily podcast where he spotlights each year from 1776 to 2026.
He also has a weekly President’s podcast where he shares biographies of every Commander-In-Chief on Wednesdays.
Reidy also has another weekly podcast where he shares the stories of each U.S. state on Sundays.
The three podcasts are expected to wrap up by July 4. He plans to start a new series in May where he spotlights Good Samaritans who have gone above-and-beyond in their career field or philanthropically.
