Aspen Place thanks first responders, facilities after evacuation

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Aspen Place in Greensburg is sharing their gratitude following a precautionary evacuation on Friday. 

A gas leak forced the nursing home to evacuate all of their residents to other facilities in the community. 

Nobody was hospitalized or injured during the incident and the residents were returned back to Aspen Place on Friday evening. 

Aspen Place has released this statement to The 812 on Saturday:

The team at Aspen Place Health Campus wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community partners for their support during yesterday’s evacuation event.

To our first responders, fellow healthcare providers and our Trilogy sister campuses - your quick response, compassion, and willingness to help made all the difference.

Because of your support, our residents remained safe and cared for throughout the day.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that comes together when it matters most. Thank you for your partnership, generosity, and commitment to caring for your neighbors.
