(AURORA, Ind.) – First Presbyterian Church in Aurora is receiving a grant to continue their efforts of feeding the hungry.
The Fourth Street Cafe outreach program takes place each Tuesday where volunteers serve hot, healthy meals to the community.
The Dearborn Community Foundation has given a $1K grant through their annual initiative where each board member selects an organization to support.
DCF board member Becky Lyons chose the program so the church can continue it's efforts of feeding between 30-60 people weekly.
“I like it that a hot meal is provided and it’s for people who are in need, lonely or just need more socialization,” said Lyons.
