Aurora Police bodycam video shows rescue efforts at house fire

Watch the video here:

(AURORA, Ind.) – The man rescued from the Aurora house fire is recovering at a Cincinnati hospital.

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. Monday at a duplex in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.

First responders arrived and found 77-year-old Arnold Lathrop collapsed inside the home and blocking the door.

An Aurora police officer, EMT’s and retired firefighter Buck Bradley helped pull the man to safety.

Aurora Fire Chief Jeff Lane released police body cam video on Wednesday that shows that harrowing rescue.

Lathrop is considered in stable condition as of Wednesday night.

State investigators have ruled the fire accidental but cannot rule out the use or disposal of smoking materials.
