(TORONTO) – The Los Angeles Dodgers have just won the World Series!
Did you know one of their superstar players gave back to a Rising Sun family earlier this year?
Rising Sun first grader Weston James was diagnosed with Gullian-Barre’ Syndrome, which is a condition that attacks the nervous system.
It’s the same disease that affected Freddie Freeman’s son, Maximus, in 2024.
A friend of The 812 shared Weston’s story with Chelsea Freeman, who is Freddie's wife.
The Freeman’s donated $500 to support Weston during his journey and never asked for any notoriety or attention.
