(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville business is one of 500 recipients nationwide of the Amex Shop Small Grants program.
Concepts Custom Framing has received $20,000 to expand their operations, invest in critical upgrades, and introduce new offerings.
The grant was administered by Main Street America in partnership with American Express and more than $10 million was dispersed to small businesses throughout the country.
Concepts has been in business since 1988 and specializes in custom picture framing and other handmade projects.
“This support will help me renovate and revitalize the upstairs portion of the building to expand retail space, offer opportunities for additional vendors, and create room for future creative classes, workshops, and community gathering opportunities,” said Concepts Custom Framing owner Rachel Werner.
The Batesville retailer was one of 10 businesses in Indiana to receive the $20,000 grant.
Johns Brothers General Store in Connersville and Mad Love eat+drink in Madison were also awarded.
