Batesville Community Education Foundation names new board member

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Batesville Community Education Foundation (BCEF) is welcoming a new member to their board of directors.

Sam Bailie was elected to the role based on his strong background in finance and community involvement.

He has worked in the tax department at Baxter since 2018 and currently serves as Senior Manager of Domestic Income Tax. 

Bailie’s wife, Angela, is an instructional aide at Batesville Intermediate and they have three children who attend the school corporation.

They chosen to raise their family in Batesville because of the reputation of the school district. 

“I have been especially impressed by the way BCEF supports initiatives like Bulldog Ready, classroom grants, and capital projects that create enduring value for students, and am excited for the opportunity to contribute my time and skills and to work collaboratively with the other board members to support BCEF’s mission,” Bailie said. 

He also serves on the boards of the Southeastern Indiana YMCA and Batesville Soccer Club.
