Batesville Kiwanis Applefest on Saturday, Sunday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) –  The 35th annual Batesville Kiwanis Applefest will be held at Liberty Park on Saturday and Sunday. 

It takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and will feature arts and crafts vendors, live music, kids activities and demonstrations. 

A new addition will feature a passenger train stopping at the event from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. A Cincinnati Railway Experience train will bring 300 passengers to the festival.  

Here is a schedule of the activities: 

Saturday

• Wood-turning demonstrations (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

• Ed and Deno Music  (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.) 

• The Roundups (2 to 4 p.m.)

• Karate demonstration (1 p.m.)

• Trackless Kiwanis train rides throughout the day

• A bounce house and additional family activities.

  
  

Sunday 

• Music by Marisa Fullenkamp (12 p.m.) 

• Applefest Pageant (1 p.m.) 

• The Eureka Band (2:30 p.m.) 

• Kids Discovery Factory interactive exhibits (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

“Food will be available throughout both days, and guests can look forward to fresh apples and cider from Villa Orchard, mums from W.J. Strassel & Sons, festival food favorites, craft vendors and much more,” organizers said.
