Batesville Main Street launches grant for downtown businesses

Grant for retail, restaurant, food service or specialty shopping

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Batesville Main Street is hoping to support businesses who want to improve their customer experience while attracting more people to the downtown area.

The Re-Envision Grant is available for property owners or tenants within the Main Street District who have a focus on retail, restaurant, food service or specialty shopping.

Funds can be used to activate unused or underutilized spaces or make permanent interior improvements to existing spaces.

It's a dollar-for-dollar matching grant with $25,000 available under the program.

"Batesville Main Street is again excited to offer the Re-Envision Grant to our downtown district businesses with the goal of recruiting and adding new retail and restaurant offerings or enhance the consumer experience in existing businesses. This grant is in its 3rd year and has been able to fund some great projects,” said Executive Director Amy Pretzer.

Applications are due by April 1 and grant recipients will be notified by April 15.
