(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville man was arrested on child-material related allegations following a police raid on Tuesday.
32-year-old Evan Werner was arrested during a police raid at a home on County Road 1300 North in the Morris area.
The Indiana State Police said the investigation began after they received multiple cyber tips from the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force about a particular internet account.
“ICAC detectives immediately began working to identify the owner of the account and to confirm that the media was child sexual abuse material,” said ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.
Werner was booked into the Ripley County Jail on a preliminary charge of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
