Batesville native leads all of NAIA in high jump mark

(INDIANAPOLIS) – A recent Batesville graduate is off to a stellar start in his collegiate athletic career.
Ayden Eckstein is a freshman at Marian University and competes in the High Jump for the track & field team.
Eckstein competed in the IWU Midwest Indoor Meet this past weekend and one of his jumps set a national mark.
His jump of 7.25 feet now leads all of NAIA athletics in the United States.
Eckstein is currently ranked 16th nationwide among all freshman across all college divisions.
He will compete in the Heartland Invite in Indianapolis this weekend ahead of the Indoor National Championship in Gainesville, Florida in early March.
