Batesville offering matching grants for business storefront renovations

Applications are due on May 31

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Business owners in Batesville could be eligible for a grant to improve their storefronts. 

The Batesville Improvement Grant (BIG) program can provide up $5,000 in matching funds for exterior renovations.  

To be eligible, tenants must have at least two years remaining on their lease or an option to renew. Some projects include awnings, windows, painting, structural changes, exterior finishes or door repairs. 

Renovation plans must be approved by the Batesville Economic Development Commission and comply with local ordinances.

The Bookshelf, Dunlap Supply, and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club have all been past award winners. With their grants, they were able to replace windows, awnings, and general exterior fixtures.
