Batesville senior named Indiana Miss Golf

Was also awarded IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winner

(CARMEL, Ind.) – Batesville senior Ava South was named Indiana Miss Golf on Saturday.
The standout golfer received the coveted award during the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals in Carmel.
It was awarded by the Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association and South will formally be recognized during a banquet later this month.
South was also awarded the IHSAA’s Mental Attitude Award, which is earned by one Indiana student-athlete from each sport who demonstrates a positive attitudes, good grades, leadership and athletic success.
She concluded her high school golf career by finishing tied for 12th overall during the state finals.
As a team, Batesville placed 9th in the state and were led by South, Zoey Ahern, Stella Maple, Alexis Gallagher and Grace Saner.
