Benefit for Air Force vet in Milan on Sept. 4

(MILAN, Ind.) – A benefit will be held for an Air Force veteran in Milan on Friday, September 4.

Ronald Wesley, Jr. was recently diagnosed with cancer and the family is hoping to raise funds for medical expenses, travel costs and everyday bills.

“Anyone who knows our dad knows he has always been the kind of person to help others without hesitation. Now it's our turn to help him,” said his daughter, Kara Riker.

A benefit concert will be held at the Milan American Legion from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, September 4.

It is open to the public and those attending the Milan football game are encouraged to stop by afterward.

The benefit will include live music, raffle baskets, split the pot, cornhole, and food.

“The event is open to the public, and our hope is to have as many people as possible come out and show their support for Ronald as he fights cancer,” Riker said.

A Go Fund Me has also been launched which you can access by clicking here.
