Benefit for Batesville father on Saturday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A benefit for a young father battling cancer will be held in Batesville this weekend.
22-year-old Brandyn Brooks was diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments.
Brandyn and his fiance, Tru, have an infant child and are in need of community support.
The benefit will be held from 3-11 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of St. John, which is located at 111 South Vine Street in Batesville.
There will be 50/50 drawings, basket raffles, along with music from Alex Billman and Old Man Creek.
The meal will consist of walking tacos, hot dogs, and dessert. It’s BYOB as well.
“Your support, presence and kindness truly mean the world to them as they wlk this journey together,” organizers said.
