Benefit ride for former Lawrenceburg bus driver battling cancer on Sept. 27

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A jeep ride and car show benefit will be held for a Manchester woman battling cancer.
Denisha Allen was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of incurable blood cancer, in June 2025. The cancer has now spread to her bone marrow.
Prior to her diagnosis and early retirement, Allen was a bus driver for Lawrenceburg Community Schools for fifteen years and worked for the IRS for twenty five years.
The money raised at the benefit will be used to cover medical costs. It will take place on Saturday, September 27th at the Dearborn Adult Center.
The Jeep ride registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the ride will leave at 11a.m.
The car show registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and judging will begin at 2 p.m.
A meal will also be held at 4 p.m. Awards and a raffle will be held after the meal.
