(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A farm-to-table beef business is expanding its operations.
Beneker Family Farms has announced that they have broken ground on the HomeGrown Food Hub.
The building will offer a commercial kitchen, an event center and retail space.
“This state-of-the-art space will offer a fully-equipped kitchen for local small businesses, farmers, caterers, and home cooks to scale their culinary dreams,” said Jamie Beneker.
She added that the event space will be available for things such as workshops on sustainable farming and cooking classes to community dinners and special events.
“This is more than a building; it’s a vibrant community space, a marketplace for local flavor, and an investment in our local food system,” she added.
Beneker Family Farms was awarded the Rural Small Business of the Year by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in 2022.
It's owned by Jamie and Allen Beneker and is located at 9137 St. Peters Road in Brookville.
