Block Party to be held in Greendale on May 23

(GREENDALE, Ind.) – A fun community event will take place in Greendale on Saturday, May 23. 

Firmly Rooted Ministries have organized the “Block Party Rewind” event which will be held at their church at 495 Ludlow Street. 

It will take place from 4-7 p.m. and will include tug-of-war, egg toss, three-legged races, bounce house, food trucks and more. 

“This event is all about bringing the community together for an evening filled with fun, nostalgia, family activities, and connection. We’re creating a true neighborhood block party atmosphere with activities for all ages,” said Kristie Bipes with Firmly Rooted.

Firmly Rooted will also have a free outdoor movie series this summer with ‘The Parent Trap’ being the first showing on June 4. There is no cost for admission and popcorn and water will be free as well.

“In addition, beginning the first Sunday in June, Firmly Rooted will begin offering a new 10:30 AM Sunday service designed to better accommodate families and schedules within the community,” Bipes said. 

Their normal 9 a.m. service will continue to be offered as well.
