Bricktoberfest in Osgood will be September 19

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – Osgood’s signature event is celebrating its 11th anniversary on September 19.
Bricktoberfest almost didn’t happen this year but a new committee of community members stepped up to take over the event.
“With only a few short months to plan—and no money to start with—we were determined to keep this event going for our community,” said organizer Alesha Neal
The community comes together to celebrate Bricktoberfest and it’s a great opportunity to experience what Osgood is all about.
It will kick off at 11 a.m. and will feature a car show, live music, vendors, food, kid activities, and plenty more throughout the day.
The car show will be held from 11-3 and all types of vehicles are welcome. The first 100 vehicle owners will receive a $20 payout for participating. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church parking lot on Buckeye Street.
When it comes to music, the headliner will be Osgood native and Nashville recording artist Blake Billman’s band Tailgate Revival. There will also be several other bands performing throughout the day.
The food and beer tents will be operated by nonprofit organizations including the Osgood Lions Club, Osgood Fire Department, Osgood American Legion, and several JCD school organizations
The popular Chalktoberfest organized by the Ripley County Community Foundation will also take place during the day.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have so many local businesses and individuals step up to sponsor the event and help us make it happen,” Neal said.
The proceeds will go toward future community events and organizers also plan to use the funds to support the participating nonprofits. You can follow the Bricktoberfest by clicking here.
