(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The popular Canoefest in Brookville returns this weekend after a two-year hiatus.
The races were cancelled in 2024 and 2025 but are now back as organizers hope the event is bigger-and-better than ever.
It typically features nearly 2,500 paddlers who compete for the best time both individually or part of a team.
There is a biathlon option which combines a 6.6 mile canoe race along with a 7-mile run. It can be a solo competition or a team of two.
There’s also a canoe-only option which has races for 6.6 miles or 3 miles.
All races begin at Morgan’s Canoe and participants are encouraged to arrive early.
