Cold Weather Advisory on Tuesday night

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect Tuesday night and into Wednesday. 

The low temperature is expected to be around -7 with wind chills as low as 20 below zero. 

Forecasters say frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.  

If you have to go outside, be sure to dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves. 

Officials also ask that you keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.

Temperatures will stay in the teens through the rest of the week with subzero lows in the evenings.
