Commiskey woman accused of battering two kids

(COMMISKEY, Ind.) – A Jennings County woman is accused of hurting two young children. 

The Indiana State Police conducted a six month investigation after receiving reports from the Indiana Department of Child Services. 

Investigators say 29-year-old Meranda Swim, of Commiskey, battered two children.

Prosecutors have charged Swim with four counts of Battery on a Child under 14 years of age and one count of Neglect of a Dependent. 

“Meranda Swim was arrested this past weekend without incident and transported to the Jennings County Jail where she was incarcerated, pending her initial appearance in the Jennings County Circuit Court,” Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.
