(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – The 2025 Congressional App Challenge is now open for local middle school students and high schoolers.
The nationwide competition encourages students to learn code while inspiring them to pursue careers in computer science.
Students compete against their peers by creating an application for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, or other devices.
“The Congressional App Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for students to put their creativity and coding talents on display,” said Congresswoman Erin Houchin. “I’m always inspired by the innovation and skill our students bring to the table, and I look forward to seeing the submissions this year.”
It’s open to all middle school and high school students in Southeast Indiana and the deadline to submit a project is October 30.
Applicants are encouraged to register early to receive contest details and updates
The winner from the Ninth Congressional District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will be featured on congressionalappchallenge.us.
The winning app will also be eligible to be on display in the U.S. Capitol, honoring the winners from across the country.
