(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – A Connersville woman is desperately hoping to match with a living donor for a kidney.
A family friend tells us that 59-year-old Xandra Lee Davis is suffering from stage 5 kidney failure.
Davis is married and has two children and seven grandchildren.
“Xan is a sweet lady who helps anyone she can and is just a sweetheart,” said Verneisha Walden who describes Davis as having a courageous spirit.
Community members are rallying behind Davis as a benefit will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at Roberts Park in Connersville.
Walden also added that there will soon be a billboard displayed in the area hoping to find a perfect match for Davis.
Walden said Davis has a blood type of O- and you can find out if you are a match by clicking here.
