DASI Kids donates $4,500 to Decatur County pool project

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – DASI Kids in Greensburg used their annual initiative to support the Decatur County Pool Project.

The organization encouraged community members to participate in their Autism Acceptance Walk for a Cause campaign in April.

It led to a combined 10 million steps and $2,250 in donations.

They pledged the campaign proceeds to the Greensburg pool project and the Decatur County Community Foundation agreed to match it dollar-for-dollar, which brought DASI’s contribution to $4,500.

"Hitting our 10-million-step goal was a true community effort, but seeing those steps transform into real funding for our community pool is the ultimate reward," A DASI Kids representative said. "We are incredibly grateful to every walker who logged miles and to the Decatur County Community Foundation for doubling our impact."

DASI Kids thanked the Walk for a Cause contributors which were Rob Plue at Edward Jones, Emily Nowlin State Farm, Russ Hubler Automotive Group, Gene Cooney with Ruoff Mortgage and the Hollars family of Phantom Diesel Performance.

The organization provides high quality Applied Behavior Analysis services and compassionate care to children on the Autism spectrum.

The new Decatur County pool is expected to open later this summer and has been made possible by numerous donations from the community.
