(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital has announced a new member to its Pulmonology team.
Marcy Baumer, PA-C, brings more than 25 years of experience in diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions while supporting patients with a wide range of respiratory and overall health needs.
At DCMH Pulmonology, Marcy will care for patients experiencing conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, sleep apnea, and other lung-related concerns.
“Her experience managing complex conditions and interpreting diagnostic exams allows her to provide thorough, personalized care to help patients better understand and manage their respiratory health,” the hospital said.
She has spent her career providing care across multiple specialties, including internal medicine, primary care, and occupational health.
The Batesville native graduated Cum Laude from Butler University/IU Health’s Physician Assistant Program and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Indiana University Bloomington.
“Marcy’s depth of experience and patient-centered approach enhance our ability to provide high-quality respiratory care to our community,” said Kristol Hadler, Executive Director of Nursing and Operations.
DCMH completed the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which indicated that Decatur County continues to experience a significant burden of chronic lung and respiratory-related disease. High rates of nicotine dependence and COPD diagnoses directly contribute to long-term lung health complications.
