Dearborn Co. deputy injured in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50

Happened early Wednesday evening

(AURORA, Ind.) -- A Dearborn County deputy was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 in Aurora on Wednesday.
It happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Hilltop Drive, which is currently a construction zone.
The deputy was responding to a domestic violence call with his lights and siren activated when the crash occurred.
He was transported to St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital for a leg injury, Sheriff Shane McHenry said.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Sheriff McHenry thanked Aurora Police, Lawrenceburg Police, Lawrenceburg EMS, Aurora EMS and the Aurora Fire Department for their quick responses.
The crash will be investigated by the Aurora Police Department.
