(ST. LEON, Ind.) – Several high schoolers will soon have their artwork on display at the Dearborn County Courthouse.
Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens held a contest for young artists to have their work displayed in the building and the theme was a drawing or digitally-enhanced photograph that showcases America on its 250th anniversary.
Nine East Central students and two South Dearborn students were chosen to have their artwork displayed. The students earned $50 each because of their winning selection.
“Each student did an incredible job and we are happy to have their artwork displayed in the courthouse,” Prosecutor Lynn Deddens said.
One of the students whose artwork will be on display is East Central student Maisey Dojmovic. Both her parents are veterans and her mom just retired from the Navy after 20 years of service.
