(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office is providing resources after a recent increase in suicides and mental health crises in the community.
“This is something we cannot ignore. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that help is available. You do not have to face a crisis alone,” the sheriff’s office said.
Here are some resources for those who may be struggling:
988
Call or text 988 24/7 to speak with a trained crisis counselor. You can call even if you aren't suicidal but simply need someone to talk to or are worried about someone you love.
911
If someone is in immediate danger, has attempted suicide, or there is an immediate threat to someone's safety, call 911.
