DJ's in Milan raises funds for mom battling cancer

(MILAN, Ind.) – A Milan bar helped a local mom and teacher battling cancer this weekend. 

DJ’s Tavern hosts the Body Slam Breast Cancer Jello Wrestling Competition every year and they donate the proceeds to a local woman fighting cancer. 

Katie Albright is a mom of three and works in Special Education at Central Elementary in Lawrenceburg. She is battling an aggressive breast cancer, according to the tavern. 

DJ’s held the event for her on Saturday and it raised $1,320.  

The tavern added that Emalee Veerkamp was the winner of the competition.
