Drewersburg VFD receives grant from Channel Seed

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Department is receiving a grant from Channel Seed.

The seed company has a grant program called Channeling Good where more than $370,000 has been donated to projects across 18 states. Those project have included youth agriculture programs, emergency response organizations, schools and food banks. 

Drewersburg was awarded $2,500 and will use the funds to purchase Self Contained Breathing Apparatus tanks and quick connect adapters.  

“The Channeling Good donation will help our department provide necessary safety equipment for our firefighters and provide essential fire protection to the residents of our community,” said Drewersburg assistant chief Stuart Wendel.
