(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Duke Energy will be using a helicopter and aerial saw to trim trees near power lines in Batesville next week.
Crews will be clearing vegetation from hard-to-reach locations around power lines.
The work is expected to begin Monday and take three days to complete.
Property owners along the corridors have been notified by mail, in person or via a door hanger.
All areas where the helicopter will work have been clearly flagged and marked in advance of trimming.
Federal regulations mandate that key power transmission line corridors be free of vegetation that might interfere with safely operating and maintaining those power lines.
