(ST. LEON, Ind.) – East Central FCCLA is recognizing their outgoing principal Tom Black.
Black has accepted the role of principal at Batesville Middle School after serving as the ECHS principal since 2018.
The FCCLA program credits Black for his unwavering support and consistent reinforcement of student leadership and service.
“Whether we were organizing community service projects, hosting fundraisers, attending conferences, competing in STAR Events, or representing East Central across Indiana and the nation, he consistently encouraged our members to dream big and make a difference,” East Central FCCLA stated.
They said Black’s support has created opportunities for hundreds of students to develop leadership skills, serve others and grow their confidence as young adults.
“We are grateful for the role you have played in helping East Central FCCLA become one of the premier chapters in Indiana and the nation,” the program stated.
Black is making the move to Batesville so he can be a direct part of his two sons' educational journeys.
“Your leadership, encouragement, and dedication to students will be greatly missed at East Central, but we know Batesville is gaining an outstanding principal,” the FCCLA program added.
