EC grad named Female Athlete of the Year at her university

(CEDARVILLE, OH.) – An East Central graduate has earned a top athletic honor from her college. 

Sophie Browndyke was named Female Athlete of the Year during Cedarville University’s Golden Jacket Awards on Wednesday night.

Browndyke plays soccer for Cedarville and is a defender that started all 20 games this past season. 

She was awarded NCCAA All-America First Team as well as NCCAA Midwest Region Player of the Year.

The 2022 East Central graduate was recruited late out of high school due to Covid, as she did not officially sign with Cedarville until May of her senior year.
