Fire at S.R. 46 bridge in West Harrison

(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) — First responders are on the scene of a truck fire at the State Road 46 bridge over the Whitewater River in West Harrison.
That bridge has been closed for repairs by the Indiana Department of Transportation since April 2.
A paint supply truck caught fire at the bridge around 7:30 p.m. and agencies that responded are the New Trenton, Harrison, Crosby Township and Whitewater Township fire departments.
The Dearborn County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has also been requested due to fuel possibly going into the river.
State Road 46 is closed from Whites Hill Road to the bridge due to the ongoing incident.
