Flood Watch in effect Wednesday

(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – A Flood Watch is in effect as more rain is expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday. 

The Flood Watch has been issued for Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne counties from 2 a.m. Wednesday until 2 a.m. Thursday. 

“Widespread rainfall amounts of up to an inch can be expected with local amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible,” the National Weather Service said.

Forecasters say excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
