Former Batesville business owner to help aspiring entrepreneurs

Has a passion for mentoring and networking with entrepreneurs

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A former teacher and small business owner in Batesville will now help aspiring entrepreneurs.
Lori Rennekamp has been named as the Entrepreneurial Program Coordinator for Genesis: Pathways to Success.
The Oldenburg Academy graduate served as an Art and Language Arts teacher before owning and operating Bird in a Tree Boutique in downtown Batesville from 2016 to 2024.
Rennekamp will now focus on strengthening connections across Southeastern Indiana and expanding access to entrepreneurial opportunities. She will lead the development and implementation of programs such as Career Exploration Expo, D.I.C.E. Challenge, Emerge: Young Innovators Summit, and Masterclasses.
Lori has a passion for mentoring, networking, and fostering community connections while helping others follow their dreams.
“I am beyond thrilled for this opportunity to work within our region, creating and strengthening connections and entrepreneurial opportunities. As a former business owner who will always remain an entrepreneur-at-heart, I have a passion for helping others work to achieve their dreams” she said.
