Former Greensburg police chief passes away

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Greensburg Police Department is mourning the loss of a former police chief.
Keith Gay joined the department in 1989 and rose through the ranks to become police chief in 2000. He left the department in 2003.
“Keith was well known as a K9 handler in the region with his K9 partner, Bustin, and was a long serving Defensive Tactics Instructor and Field training Officer,” the department said.
Prior to law enforcement, Keith served in the Air Force
“Please join us in keeping Keith’s family, friends, and former fellow officers in your thoughts and prayers at this time,” the department added.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced but will be handled by Gilland Howe Funeral Home.
