Foundations for Recovery to host large event, fireworks Saturday

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A large event will feature fireworks, a car show, cornhole tournament and more in Greensburg on Saturday, September 5.

Foundations for Recovery in Greensburg is hosting a celebration of community and hope as part of National Recovery Month. 

It will take place at the Decatur County Fairgrounds from 4-10 p.m. and the public is encouraged to attend. 

“We will be having live music, testimonies, food trucks, vendors, recovery resource booths, 50/50 raffles, motorcycle and car show, corn hole tournament,” organizers said. 

This is a free family-friendly event and the fireworks will take place in the evening. 

Proceeds and donations will go toward Foundations for Recovery, which is a men's recovery residence that provides life skills and support for re-entry into society as productive, positive, solution driven people.

Foundations for Recovery is currently planning to open their third men’s recovery home in Westport.

“The event will provide an opportunity for individuals and families to connect with local and statewide resources, learn about recovery services, and see the support that is available in our communities,” organizers said.
