Franklin Co. grad joins Batesville Police Department

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A 2019 Franklin County graduate has joined the Batesville Police Department. 

Christian Richardson was joined by family members as he was sworn-in by Batesville Police Chief Mike Manus on Wednesday. 

Richardson is just beginning his police career and will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in early 2026. 

Following graduation, he will go through a field training program. 

In his free time, Christian enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time at the firearms range.
