Franklin County shelter at max capacity

(METAMORA, Ind.) – The Franklin County Animal Shelter is encouraging adoptions as they are currently at max capacity. 

They’ve had an influx of stray dogs coming to the shelter over the past weeks. 

“Our cat kennels too are at capacity and we have a lot of great cats that have been spayed and neutered and ready to go,” the Friends of Franklin County Animal Shelter said. 

They are currently offering a special of $50 for all cats. 

The shelter is open from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays as well as 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. 

“If those days and times do not work for you, please reach out to us and we can make it work,” they added. 

The shelter is located at 9076 Landfill Road in Metamora.
