(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The Friends of Versailles State Park organization is receiving a grant for park enhancements near the Nature Center.
The Indiana Parks Alliance (IPA) awarded a grant to the organization to plant native grasses and wildlife flowers near a water bottle station that was installed in 2024.
“An interpretive panel will be installed at the area describing the importance of incorporating native plant species into our environment,” said Friends of Versailles State Park member Carolyn Tully.
IPA board member Tom Hohman presented the check to Tully as well as Assistant Versailles Park Manager Alex Garcia on Thursday.

Friends of Versailles State Park is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting and enhancing the park through community involvement and stewardship.
The Indiana Parks Alliance is a charitable organization that supports Indiana State Parks and state owned Nature Preserves.
