(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A single mother in Batesville is preparing for a serious operation that will limit her ability to care for her family for the next few months.
27-year-old Guadalupe Blanco says she was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type 1 and Syringomyelia.
Blanco says she will have brain surgery in February and the recovery time is expected to be around three months.
She is the mother of two young daughters and will not be able to work during that timeframe.
A Go Fund Me has been created by a relative and the funds will go toward living expenses, medical expenses, food, and care for her girls.
“The stress of keeping her home afloat and the uncertainty of her health and recovery, has left this family in urgent need of support from their community,” organizers said.
