(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A fundraiser is underway for a former local first responder who recently had a leg amputated.
Andrew McCool has previously served on Miller-York Fire Department, Sunman EMS and Brookville EMS.
He says his vehicle broke down on the same day his leg was amputated.
His wife, Megan, is trying to provide for Andrew and the family of four and doing it without a steady vehicle.
“It was more than financial strain; it threatened to upend every aspect of daily living—from hospital visits to meeting clients , from basic errands to precious moments with loved ones,” Andrew said.
The fundraiser will help the family as they juggle significant challenges ahead. You can access the link by clicking here.
