Fundraiser launched after man dies from heat stroke

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched after a Batesville man passed away this week.

31-year-old Alejandro Camarena was working for a local mowing company when he suffered a heat stroke and died on Wednesday, family members said.

Alejandro legally immigrated to the United States in hopes to better provide for his family. Some of my closest family members remain in Mexico.

Friends and family are hoping to raise funds to transport his body back to Mexico.

His family is facing the heartbreaking task of sending his body back to Mexico so he can be reunited with his parents and siblings,” fundraiser organizers said.

They added, “This support will allow his parents to give him a last goodbye and ensure he can rest in peace surrounded by his loved ones.”
