Genesis hosts Rocket League, Hogwarts camps

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Genesis: Pathways to Success held two interactive camps for local students this summer. 

The Game On: Esports Camp focused on a team-based Rocket League game that combined strategy, communication, and quick decision-making. 

Genesis also hosted the Harry Potter-themed Camp Hogwarts which welcomed 39 students. It featured a full week of games, science activities, friendly competitions, and creative projects. The week concluded with a Quidditch Cup tournament. 

“One memorable experiment occurred after measuring hydrogen peroxide, Dawn dish soap, potassium iodide, and other ingredients; students watched the giant ‘elephant toothpaste’ reaction erupt from the top of the volcano while learning why the chemical reaction occurred,: organizers said. 

The camps were held at Batesville Middle School and Oldenburg Academy.
