Gov. waives dyed diesel restrictions, extends gas tax suspension

(INDIANAPOLIS) — Indiana Governor Mike Braun is suspending the special fuel restrictions for dyed diesel. 

This will allow farmers to use dyed diesel for any farm-related activities. 

Governor Braun is also extending the statewide energy emergency and gas tax suspension through November 4. 

“I'm delivering relief for Hoosier farmers by lifting special fuel restrictions to help ease the burden, and providing relief from high gas prices to keep more money in Hoosiers’ pockets and make life more affordable,” Gov. Braun said. 

The governor said the extension is due to disruptions in global oil supply, including Houthi military actions in Saudi Arabia that shut down the East-West Pipeline, which accounts for 7 percent of the world’s oil supply.

“These disruptions have realigned the global oil supply chain and placed continued pressure on fuel prices,” Gov. Braun added.
