(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Know a teenager or young adult with a good idea that can make a positive difference in the community?
There is a grant opportunity for 14-25 year olds who live in the Tri-State through an organization called The Contribution Project.
Eligible participants in Southeast Indiana must reside in Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Switzerland or Ohio counties.
You could receive $400 if your idea is approved and the application process ends on February 22.
Ideal projects that will be considered are ones that are feasible, meaning action on your project can take place in the next six weeks.
Organizers provided some examples of projects you could submit (but not limited to):
Create a Podcast that covers issues that are important in your community
Create a communal gaming center for students
Teach an outdoor class that help others pickup a new hobby
Start an online business
Expand access to your school by installing braille signage
Create educational kits for young students (such as engineering, STEM, etc..)
Create handmade crafts or toys for children in hospitals
(Those are just example ideas provided by the Contribution Project)
