(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Ripley County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications for the ‘A Greener Tomorrow’ initiative.
A Greener Tomorrow was established by Ripley Youth Outreach in 2020 to promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the county.
The mission is to invest in projects and programs that protect and expand natural landscapes and resources of Ripley County. Through this program, RCCF aims to increase appreciation for the natural environment, enhance community well-being, and boost economic growth.
“Through A Greener Tomorrow, we are empowering young leaders and community members to become environmental stewards in their community,” said RCCF executive director Amy Streator.
“From planting pollinator gardens and indigenous trees, to revitalizing downtowns and expanding access to green spaces, we are preserving the beauty and vitality of Ripley County and creating a greener tomorrow,” she added.
The grants are for $1,000 and and applications will be accepted until December 19.
