(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The City of Greensburg has broke ground on a new 88-unit apartment community at the site of the former Decatur County Jail.
The Ironwood apartment community is located at 200 South Broadway Street.
The $19 million project represents an economic milestone for Greensburg.
“As a market-rate development, the project will bring new residents right to the edge of the downtown square, injecting consistent purchasing power directly into the local economy,” said Mayor Joshua Marsh.
It is being developed by Lafayette-based Iron Men Propertie and is expected to be complete next summer.
